DYSGRAPHIA

“You may not be able to read a doctor’s handwriting and prescription, but you’ll notice his bills are neatly typewritten” same goes with me as an Auditor, “You may not be able to read an auditor’s handwriting and objections, but you’ll notice his reports are neatly typewritten”

Bad handwriting is not abnormal in children but handwriting that is exceptionally difficult to read, or that doesn’t improve much as the child gets older. The problem could be a learning disability that is brain-based called Dysgraphia. Teachers and parents should suspect dysgraphia if a child’s handwriting is unusually difficult to read. Find out more about this neurological problem that can cause physical pain as some children struggle to write.

What are the signs and symptoms of dysgraphia?

Cramped grip, which may lead to a sore hand
Difficulty spacing things out on paper or within margins
Frequent erasing
Inconsistency in letter and word spacing
Poor spelling, including unfinished words or missing words or letters

I observed that people are unhappy with how their handwriting looks and this cause them discomfort. These problems may have remained uncorrected since childhood and still cause distress or embarrassment.

I too have bad handwriting or you can say that I have my own font.” This is what many people with ugly handwriting say on a lighter note. In other words, just because handwriting looks unattractive it does not always mean that the writer is an unimpressive person with some serious personality faults.

“A woman’s perfume tells more about her than her handwriting” ― Christian Dior

I take it as a record that every person in my life who saw my handwriting, in school/college/university and now during job surely said that to me” You have the worst handwriting”. In the start, it hurts but then slowly I am kind of immune now. I really never tried to improve it because I believe that it’s something natural and I can’t change or improve it.

If you observe the grip here then you will understand that why my ring finger has that kind of swelling, it does not hurt because it’s part of my finger now. Whenever I write, this grip puts pressure on that part of my finger.

Now, what if I type down a few famous names that had bad handwriting:
Bill Gates
Adolf Hitler
Mahatma Gandhi
J.K. Rowling
